London

Education: London College of Communication Year: 2009

This was a research project which focused on graphic design from the perspective of London. Exploring and discovering new things and places around London made me realise how intriguing and interesting London can be. A research method was conducted for the London project in summer 2009, where we measure the popularity of souvenirs which tourists would pick, in the following order they chose: bags, tea, T-shirts then figurines.

This research book is a culmination of workshop, experimentation and self thought research during my time working on this project. At the end of the research each and everyone had to create an outcome based on this research. The outcome I designed is a were a set of typefaces based on landmarks and random selective places around London, an illustrated set of fonts that are put together then applied onto bags. This was also based on one of the workshops provided during the project.

The Lizard and the Snake

“They say that there was once a lizard who burst into pieces right down the middle when he was tryingto equal the length of a snake.”

And the moral?

“You will hurt yourself and accomplish nothing if you try to imitate someone who is far better than you are.”
